Chimps

Welcome to Chimps!

Cheeky chimps class are a team, we respect each other, we take on challenges, we learn from our mistakes, we try our best, we create, we dream big and we celebrate each other's success!

Our teacher is Miss Chorley.

Our teaching assistants are Mrs Haynes (morning) and Miss Pepper (afternoon).

PE

We need to bring our PE kit to school on Monday and we will bring it home on a Friday for washing.

This means we can enjoy PE and games outdoors when the weather is dry as currently,

PE will take place outdoors.

We are also aiming to run our Daily Mile too and so will need a change of shoes in our PE bag.

Our topic this term is FIRE FIRE!

We will be learning all about the history of bonfire night and Guy Fawkes.

We will be discussing the children's experience and planning our own 'bonfire day' in class.

English

We are focusing on using our phonics to help us write captions and sentences about different stories and people.

We will be listening and retelling stories with our friends and writing our own bonfire poems!

Maths

We are focusing on place value which will include ordering numbers, comparing numbers and finding one more and one less.

Remember Cheeky Chimps, we are champions!

Proud clouds

Here you can download some more proud clouds. Proud clouds are for you to bring in from home, filled in with anything you are proud of your child doing. These will then be shared and celebrated with the class and put on to our Proud cloud display!
